The project

Height, light and a dry floor.

VIP Frame & Truss needed covered space quickly to support an expansion at their Auckland site. Three 40ft bays were joined for a 36-metre Lil' Bertha — not the first shelter we have built for this team.

The height suits working machinery rather than just storing it, and the cover lets enough light through that the space works without internal lighting, but without the heat build-up you get under a darker roof. Because the Bertha range mounts to the outside of the containers, rainwater runs clear of the working area, keeping the floor as dry as it gets.
